I am a rose growing strong
in the cracked earth
of a garden

tell us a story of when you were young
grandfather doses and twiddles his thumbs
tea kettle whistles and steams into mind
yellow canneries who sing from the mines

Fields of skin and hands made of cloud
rain down on roses who stand tall and proud
houses of hate are all made form the same
wood that is fed by the clouds' loving rain

Made loving motions with inspired arms
painted in plants who grew up on farms
hair was his heirloom it covered her eyes
dancing was clumsy but O' in her thighs
